The effectiveness of an educational role playing based on the Theory of Planned Behavior in promotion of preventive behaviors of elementary students from taking industrial snacks
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of education based on the theory of planned behavior by role playing in promoting preventive behaviors of industrial junk food consumption. Inclusion criteria: primary school students in fourth and fifth grade classes, not having certain diseases that require special diet. Consent to participation in the training program. Exclusion criteria: absence of students in ongoing training sessions (absence of more than one session educational intervention), not wanting to continue the study, the lack of students at post-test questionnaire. The study population included 140 primary school students is the city of Arak. Originally, the school into four zones 1 and 2, Arak, 2 school for two school groups for the control group 70 were selected for each of the groups For 70 cases, with educational content for the prevention of industrial consumption of junk food, both playing and training using the manual and educational pamphlet was held in coordination with the managers of the schools After three months apart at the end of the questionnaire in this regard by the participating students full training package given to the intervention group and the control group is given. Primary Outcome: adoption of preventive behaviors of industrial junk food consumption among students. Secondary outcomes: Knowledge, Attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and behavioral intention.
