The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of empowerment against domestic violence against married women referred to health centers - medical in Ahvaz .Inclusion criteria in this study includes of women referring to health centers and exclusion criteria includes of the relocation of families to another location and transfer files and agreeing to continue participating in the program.The study intervention, including both quantitative and qualitative on women referred to health centers - medical in Ahvaz as the population studied was performed.The sample of 320 married women were referred to health centers. The sample size of 320 is composed of 160 married women who constituted the study group and 160 married women who who make up the control group.To assess the training needs assessment was used of a questionnaire distributed to violence among both intervention and showed that women with the knowledge and practice of violence are appropriate. However, the efficacy results were weak.
After completing the questionnaire showed that women with the knowledge and practice of violence are appropriate. However, the efficacy results were weak .So in the case of training courses, as well as methods of using the training course and answer discussions during the Four two-hour sessions for one month in order to increase the efficiency of the intervention group and attitudes of married women to prevent domestic violence in this area was used as a training manual.But there is no intervention was made in the control group and training courses were held. After three months, The effectiveness of the program (August) review and final results will be evaluated.
