Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the effect of an educational intervention on prophylactic behaviors from domestic violence in Tehran high school students with using the health belief model. The study was conducted in the academic year 15-2014 on 242 female students in two groups (control group (121 students) and intervention group (121 students)).
Inclusion criteria: female secondary high school students; willingness to cooperate.
Exclusion criteria: unwillingness to participate in the study.
Intervention: The intervention in this study is preparation and offering a educational programs for students participating in the study.
Outcome:
After the intervention, the knowledge of female students in the field of domestic violence in the case of score received from knowledge questionnaire (score 20-0), will increase in the intervention group in comparison to the control group.
After the intervention, the attitude of female students (perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived barriers, perceived benefits, self-efficacy and cues to action) in the field of domestic violence based on scores received from a questionnaire of attitudes with 5 option Likert scale (score 26 to 130) will increase in the intervention group in comparison with the control group.
After the intervention, the performance of female students in the field of domestic violence in terms of score received from self-reported behavior questionnaire with 4-point Likert scale (score 9 to 36) will increase in the intervention group in comparison to the control group.
