Effectiveness of children's drawing Therapy with and without child rearing skills training to mothers on symptoms of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children
The purpose of the present study is to examine the efficacy of group drawing therapy program for children with and without child rearing skills training to mothers on symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children 6 to 12 years old. In a quasi-experimental study using pre-test and post-test with control group inclusive 100 children with ADHD that as available from two clinics affiliated with the University, selected randomly blocked without blinding to three experimental group and a control group. The main criteria for inclusion is diagnosis of ADHD by, age 6 to 12 years, using Ritalin. The experimental groups receive a 8 sessions of instruction within the child rearing skills training to mothers and drawing therapy for children. The study included three groups and a control group: group 1 children who participate in drawing classes, intervention group 2 are mothers of children receive child rearing skills training and Group 3 both interventions of parenting skills training and children’s drawings. The subjects assessed by Conners' Parent Rating Scale in 3 sections (before and after treatment and the follow-up). After analyzing the data, we found that the significant difference between groups in children with Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity there?
