Investigation of efficacy of occupational performance coaching program on self- efficacy and occupational performance of mothers of children with cerebral palsy
Objective: a single-blind randomized controlled trial will be used to test the efficacy of the Occupational Performance Coaching (OPC) on self-efficacy and occupational performance with mothers of children with cerebral palsy. Outcome measures: Canadian Occupational Performance Measurement (COPM) and Sherer general self-efficacy scale will be employed to data collection. Design: the sample size was determined for each group of 15 people. The participants conveniently and according to inclusion and exclusion criteria will be randomized into the groups. We will use closed envelops to do randomization. Having a child with cerebral palsy and not to be extremely severe depressed are considered as main inclusion criteria. Conduct: after primary assessment, participants in the intervention group will be participated in 10 sessions of OPC. At the end the questionnaires will be completed by both groups. The assessor will be blind. Interventions: children in both groups will receive standard occupational therapy services while mothers the intervention group will also attend in OPC sessions.
