Determining The effect of nurses empowerment program on the differential diagnostic ability of bedsores degree in critical care units
Design
In this research, 80 eligible nurses of critical care units working in Shahid Modarres and Shohada Tajrish hospitals affiliated to Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and assigning them in to two groups of intervention and control by non- randomized allocation method and a code is assigned to each one of them.
Settings and conduct
Holding a four-hour educational workshop at the Shahid Modarres hospital first, by research nurse, giving an educational booklet. and making a working group in one of the social spaces available to all individuals in the intervention group in order to place different photos of the grades of bedsores for 10 days and ask them to identify the grade of the wound.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Working in the critical care units; with at least 6 months of work experience; and Bachelor of Science in Nursing and higher degree. Exclusion criteria: no tendency to continue to participate in the study; no participation in the educational session and empowerment process with any reasons; participation in the same educational program during the last year; obtaining score of 17 or higher on the pre- test.
