Comparison of the effectiveness of Integrated Behavior Couple Therapy(IBCT) and Guttman Couple Therapy(GMCT) on Marital Burnout, Family Function and Emotional Divorce of Couples
Design
Clinical trial with control group, with parallel groups, randomized with random number table, on marital burnout, family function and emotional divorce of 30 couples
Settings and conduct
In this study, 30 couples who referred to Family Therapy Clinic of Shahid Beheshti Psychiatric Center, affiliated to Zanjan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services after obtaining informed consent they were randomly assigned into control group and two intervention groups. In the first intervention group, (IBCT) and in the second intervention group, (GMCT) is provided and no intervention is provided to the control group.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: minimum level of diploma education; age of 20 to 50 years; pass a minimum of 3 years of common life; high scores on emotional divorce, family function and marital burnout questionnaires; Exclusion criteria: under medical treatment and psychotherapy; referral due to addiction and infidelity
Intervention groups
Intervention group 1: (IBCT), included 11 sessions - 120 minutes, three sessions for Initial evaluation and more for remaining sessions for health interventions; Intervention group 2: (GMCT), included 8 sessions - 90 minutes, two sessions of evaluation, interview and other sessions of therapeutic interventions.

Randomization description
Randomization was done by using random numbers in Excel software: First, in a column, the groups was entered as B, A, C below each other, because the number of samples in each group is 10 couples, so 10 B, A, C was entered below each other. In the opposite column, random numbers was generated by using the rand function. In the next step, by using the sort function,random numbers was sorted from small to large or inverse, so the order of the groups, B, A,C was changed. By the new order, individuals was allocated to intervention and control groups

Description
The Integrated Behavioral couple therapy protocol in this study was taken from Chapter 16 of Barlow's Psychological Disorders Workbook and eleven sessions of 120 minutes. Three sessions are spent on initial evaluation and the remaining sessions are spent on therapeutic interventions based on acceptance, tolerance and change techniques.

Description
Guttman couple therapy was performed in eight weekly 90 minutes sessions. The first two stages evaluated the couples and identified methods to improve marital relations to drawing a love plan. In the middle sessions a destructive couple behavior was described to evaluating in the relationship and then an effective interaction methods was educated.
