Evaluation of therapeutic effect of licorice in the treatment of Covid 19

Design

1- The study includes 50 patients referred to Valiasr clinic with the age 18 to 60 years who are diagnosed with mild covid .
2- informed consent will be obtained from all of them . It should be noted that all these patients will also receive routine treatment of Corona.
3- The criteria for entering the study include having a mild corona virus, being in the age group of 18 to 60 years, not having a history of specific diseases, not having specific drug interactions, and exclusion criteria includes; acute corona infection, having an specific disease such as cardiovascular diseases, having autoimmune diseases, having drug interactions, pregnancy.
4- On day zero, ten milliliters of blood will be collected from patients
5- For one week, patients receiving 300 mg of licorice daily in the form of capsules .
6- After 7 days again, 10 ml of blood will be collected from patients.
7- interleukin 1,6 and CRP and blood cells check and the results before and after will be compared.

Settings and conduct

The study will be conducted at Valiasr Clinic . At the beginning , 10 ml of blood will be taken , then the patients will be given 300 mg of licorice daily for one week , then blood will be taken again, the level of interleukin 1,6, CRP, and the blood cells will be counted .finaly the results will be compared Before /after the study.

Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria

inclusion criteria:The age 18 to 60 years old, having no specific diseases, having no drug interactions.
exclusion criteria:Having acute corona, having specific disease such as CVD, having autoimmune diseases, having drug interactions, pregnancy

50 mild covid patients who will receive 300 mg licorice daily for one week
