Investigating the effect of educational intervention based on the health belief model on increasing the duration of using personal protective equipment
Design
The current study was an experimental intervention that was conducted on 100 employees of different jobs in a process industry. The employees were divided into two groups of 50 people, intervention and control. Information will be collected in the pre-test stage using a researcher-made questionnaire based on the constructs of the health belief model. In the next step, educational interventions were conducted only in the test group and in 12 training sessions (theory-practical), each for 45-60 minutes based on the shift work of the employees and 3 sessions per week. The training provided was in the form of lectures, distribution of educational pamphlets, video screening, group discussions and questions and answers. . 3 months after the educational intervention, the post-test phase was conducted.
Settings and conduct
They will be trained in the workplace based on the training topic. Theoretical training regarding the complications of exposure to vibration and practical use of personal protective equipment.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
One years job experience and exposure to vibration
Intervention groups
The intervention group receives training on the use of personal protective equipment.
The control group does not see any training.
