Protocol summary

Study aim
General purpose: The main goal of this research is to examine the active areas of the cerebral cortex in time and in detail in perception and visual aesthetic judgments, which will be evaluated by EEG and ERP components. The study of the chassis aesthetic nerve in normal and healthy people can provide a platform for comparing the aesthetic understanding of normal and healthy people with people with abnormal conditions such as mentally retarded, autistic, mood and personality disorders, etc. The principles of professional ethics created human experiments (Resnik, 2018).
Design
The sampling method will be accessible. According to the research plan and also using G.Power software and in terms of 95% confidence level, the statistical power is 0.8% and the effect size is 0.15, the minimum sample size was estimated to be 35 people. The participants will be men and women with healthy mental and cognitive status who meet the following entry and exit criteria.
Settings and conduct
The test site will be Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. People will be present in the test after the screening. Pictures with beautiful and ugly content will be presented to them and then brain registration will be done.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Entry criteria: Male and female, 18 to 35 years old, normal intelligence, living in the city, mental health, reading and writing literacy. Non-entry criteria: Attention deficit, hyperactivity, mood and personality disorders, severe vision problems, physical disability

Description
Only one intervention group: In this study, there is only one subject group, which includes normal people. These people enter the study after being screened and having the criteria for entering the research and are placed in front of the monitor and they are shown images of ugly and beautiful subjects. It is good and bad and ERP and EEG are recorded from them simultaneously. In the end, brain reactions to ugly and beautiful images were analyzed and desired, and efforts will be made to identify the networks involved.
