Determining the effect of logo therapy on existential anxiety, and mindfulness in breast cancer patients who have undergone mastectomy

Design

It will be a randomized Clinical Trial, two-group, two-phase clinical trial that will be conducted on 70 patients with mastectomy breast cancer. Random allocation will be done by generating a random sequence by the software in two groups.

Settings and conduct

The research environment is Seyed al-Shohda Hospital. The sample of study will be patients with mastectomy breast cancer. The sessions of the logotherapy program will be held in 8 sessions of 45 minutes and three times a week.

Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Ability to read, write and speak Persian language, willingness and full consent to cooperate in the study, maximum age of 70 years, awareness of one's illness, no acute or chronic mental disorders based on self-report, no speech and hearing disorders, no consumption of psychoactive and addictive substances, has not experienced severe stress during the past 6 months, not participating in another similar educational program at the same time, not having expertise in fields related to psychology and counseling, must have gone through the recovery stage and reached a level of stability.
Non-entry criteria: reluctance to continue cooperation, desire to change the hospital, sudden death of the patient, in the case of patients in the test group, more than 2 absences

Intervention groups

For the test group, 8 sessions of 45 minutes will be held three times a week, and the programs of the test group include a training booklet that will be provided to each member
The control group will receive only the care and routine training of the department. At the end of the research, the presented content will be available to the people of the control group
