Creating and investigating the effect of an educational video on the attitude, awareness and performance of students of Tehran University of Medical Sciences regarding hearing loss caused by the use of personal listening devices.
The purpose of the study is to determine the effectiveness of a short educational video in improving the attitude and awareness of medical students towards noise-induced hearing loss associated with personal hearing devices (PLDs).
Design
This quasi-experimental study has a group of medical students in Tehran, before and after watching an educational video about personal hearing aids, their knowledge, attitude and performance are examined. The sample size is 175 people. The selection of samples is made available from different faculties.
Settings and conduct
In order to intervene, a short educational clip will be made based on the contents of the selected checklist and containing materials with required titles.
The implementation process will be as follows: at first, people will complete a knowledge and attitude questionnaire about noise-induced hearing loss.
In the second step, the desired clip will be shown to the students in our presence, then the students will complete the questionnaire immediately (one week later) after viewing the clip. The clip will be provided to the students so that they can watch it again if they wish.
After one month, these people will be followed up and they will complete the questionnaires for the last time.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
1. Being a student and willing to cooperate

3. Lack of employment in the music profession
4. Non-entry of audiology students
5. Non-entry of international university students
Intervention groups
In this Quasi-experimental study, the group that receives an educational clip about personal hearing devices is the intervention group.
