Investigating the effects of debate-based education of nursing ethics on the moral sensitivity and judgment of nursing students

Clinical trial with control and intervention group with parallel design, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria
Settings and conduct
The effect of nursing ethics codes education on the moral sensitivity and judgment of undergraduate nursing students by holding educational sessions in the form of debate sessions. For this purpose, Kohlberg and MSQ questionnaires are completed by students and the effect of the debate-based method on the level of judgment and moral sensitivity is measured. The place of intervention is the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery of Yazd University of Medical Sciences.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Nursing students who are studying in the seventh semester and consenting to participate in the research
Non-entry: Students who are on leave or sick
Intervention groups
In the intervention group, students are divided into three groups of 14 people. For each of the groups, four sessions (two hours) of debate on eleven scenarios related to nursing ethics codes will be held. The control group will receive nursing ethics training in the form of a lecture.
