To evaluate the current nursing care practices utilized by nurses in the management of patients with stroke, to evaluate the effect of nursing care practices in optimizing clinical outcomes for patients with stroke, and to find-out the association among nurses’ practices and demographic characteristics of (educational level and year of experiences in the field.
Design
quantitative pre-experimental study design.
Settings and conduct
AL-Basrah teaching hospitals (ICU).
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
The criteria that must be found in the sample to be included in the study are nurses above 18 years working in ICU old.
exclusion criteria nurses who refuse to participate in the study.
Intervention groups
All nurses were male, and female give them education about how to prevent potential complication for patient with stroke .
Main outcome variables
prevent the potential complications of stroke (aspiration pneumonia, pressure ulcer and UTI).
