Investigating the effect of a digital Game-Based Study Guide for head trauma assessment on Knowledge and Practical Skills for Nursing Students.
Design
The study will be conducted as a clinical trial with a control group, with parallel groups, one-sided blind, with the participation of 80 patients hospitalized due to trauma. Randomization will be done using white and black colored cards.
Settings and conduct
Trauma patients referring to the medical education centers of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, if they are eligible, will be included in the study and will be randomly assigned to intervention and control groups using colored cards. This study will be performed in a blind way. In this way, researcher A will do the evaluation and error checking will be done by researcher B, who will be unaware of the allocation of groups. Also, the data analyst will not know about the grouping of the participants
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Nursing students who are studying in the 8th semester in the field of nursing who have the desire to participate in the research and have not used the head trauma assessment study guide.
Intervention groups
In the intervention group, the patient's assessment is checked with the help of the status assessment software. In this software, the assessment steps are done in order and step by step, and it guides the evaluator like a guide and reminds the evaluator of points at each step, and in the control group, the evaluation will be done without the help of the software and in the usual way.

Randomization will be done with using study randomizer software.

After registering in the software, first the study details including the number of study groups, the number of participants are registered in the software. In the next step, a code will be assigned to each participant in the order of entering the research along with random assignment to the intervention and control group by the software. In the software, the sequence of allocation of participants is recorded. In the present study, the time of entry of each participant using this software will be used to allocate to the intervention or control group and the process will continue until the end of sampling
