Objective: The study shows the effect of awareness-based disaster education on women's disaster awareness and disaster preparedness
it is planned for the purpose of examination.
Design
November Decembers completed a semi-experimental study with randomized, intervention and control groups with the participation of 120 women in the public education center.
Settings and conduct
Dec December 2023 The research was applied to 120 people who came to the public education center between November 2023 and December 2023.The study was conducted as a randomized controlled semi-experimental study.Computer-aided randomization method was used for homogeneous distribution of the groups.

Not knowing Turkish
Having no hearing or speech impediment
Intervention groups
A simple computer-assisted randomization method was used to distribute the women homogeneously to the experimental and control groups. It is divided into training and control groups, including 60 people in each group. Sociodemographic Characteristics Information Form (SÖBF), Disaster awareness level assessment form (USDF) and Disaster Preparedness Scale (AHÖ) preliminary test were applied to the women in the education and control group first. The control group was also given Nutrition Training for Women. The trainings were given individually by the consultant and the manager in approximately 45 minutes by determining the appropriate room in the classroom environment. After the trainings were completed, the final test was applied to the experimental and control group 4 weeks after the training.

Randomization description
The research will be carried out in a randomized controlled semi-experimental design. The universe of work,
it has been applied to all women attending public education center courses. An example is the G-power (version 3.1) package
using the program, 60 participants in each group were calculated as a sample group. Experiment and control in the study

Description
These results show that the training conducted in the sub-dimension of disaster relief increased the preparedness levels of women in the experimental group against disasters and provided a higher awareness and preparedness compared to the control group.

Description
Intervention group: It is divided into training and control groups, including 60 people in each group. Sociodemographic Characteristics Information Form (SÖBF), Disaster awareness level assessment form (USDF) and Disaster Preparedness Scale (AHÖ) preliminary test were applied to the women in the education and control group first. The women in the training group were individually trained for disasters using the video method by determining the appropriate room in the classroom environment. After the training, a Disaster Education presentation for women prepared by researchers and accompanied by the provincial Director of Çanakkale AFAD, Disaster Education Brochures for Women (KYAEB) were given to the women in the training group to remind them of the information.The trainings were given individually by the consultant and the manager in approximately 45 minutes by determining the appropriate room in the classroom environment.

Description
Control group:Nutrition Education for pregnant Women was given to the control group as it would not be appropriate to do any application ethically. During the training, the Nutrition presentation for Women prepared by the manager and consultant was used. The trainings were given individually by the consultant and the manager in approximately 45 minutes by determining the appropriate room in the classroom environment. After the trainings were completed, the final test was applied to the experimental and control group 4 weeks after the training. In order to apply the final test, the phone numbers of the women in both groups were taken and the appropriate appointment date was given. After the final test applications were completed, the women in the control group were also given training.
