Study aim
Determining and comparing the effect of conventional and mobile phone-based training on cognitive-functional skills of prenatal care and satisfaction of undergraduate midwifery students.
Design
A semi-experimental study that the groups of 4 to 5 students in the perinatal unit internship in the second semester of 2024 - 2025 will be assigned to the control and intervention groups by simple random (coin toss).
Settings and conduct
The educational application of prenatal care will be implemented during the internship in the prenatal unit and the hospital. On the first day of the internship, after completing personal-social information questionnaires and cognitive and functional evaluation questions, the control group received conventional education and the intervention group received educational software based on mobile phones for 4 weeks on internship days in half an hour at the beginning It is performed every day and at the end of one hour. 4 weeks after the completion of each internship, the relevant questionnaires will be completed again for both groups.
Participants/Inclusion and exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: undergraduate midwifery students participating in prenatal unit internships, having a desire to participate in research, having a smartphone, non-entry criteria: not having a smart phone, and the exclusion criteria of not regularly reading educational software and unwillingness to continue participating in the study.
Intervention groups
In the educational application group, mobile phone-based educational software is run for 4 weeks on school days for half an hour at the beginning of each day and an hour at the end. In the conventional teaching method group, the conventional teaching method will be used, which includes a morning conference at the prenatal clinic and visiting clients with the professor.

The present study is a pilot part of a development plan in education, after preparing the content of the application based on the curriculum and the opinion of the experts of the midwifery group, the application will be designed by the expert software team. Then, during a semi-experimental trial, midwifery students participating in the prenatal internship unit will be included in the study, and the small internship groups will be divided into two test and control groups by simple random (coin toss). Randomization will be done in such a way that in each of the test and control groups, there are equal small groups of each entry.
